A rare Bartek multi-strand choker necklace from the 1940’s. Four strands, two each snake and beaded ball chain, connect at the top in adjustable length hook clasp. The shortest necklace measures 16" when placed on the longest loop.
Not a lot is known about Stephen Bartek’s company. He was born in 1918 and started his own company in the 1940’s. Surviving pieces are generally hard to find. We have not found another example of this particular necklace anywhere.
Bead chain is 4.5 mm wide, snake chain is 3.5 mm
Clasp and extension measure 4"
Chains (without clasp) measure 12, 13, 14, & 15"
