This spoon is made in Whiting’s beautiful Empire pattern, with a scalloped deisng at the base and top. Two small flowers adorn the end. The back of the spoon handle matches the front, showing the quality of workmanship and attention to detail on this unique spoon. Made by Whiting Manufacturing, it features their hallmark with a W next to a Griffin.

It has been stored in anti-tarnish cloth and sealed inside a safe for the last half century. The polish you see is how it looked coming out of the safe. There is a light patina overall. If you prefer, we are happy to polish this to a bright shine before shipping. Please let us know at checkout.

The excellent condition of this spoon with no repairs makes this a wonderful addition to your collection! Monogrammed L.W., this belonged to Leonie Wurlitzer of the Wurlitzer music family. Leonie took a spring trip in May of 1896, traveling throughout Montana, Wyoming, Utah and Colorado. This spoon is part of a larger collection from that trip.
